Hi, my name is Marek!

I have a passion for people and pixels.

Fundamentally a visual designer, I discovered my focus in web and mobile product design. I’m a team player with a strong sensibility for UI motion, practiced HTML & CSS skills, and an affinity for clean, user-centered solutions.

About Marek

Chicago native, loving San Francisco

In August 2011, I relocated to San Francisco, CA to continue following my passion for design. I am actively seeking full-time opportunities in the Bay Area. Additionally, I am available for freelance and collaborations.

From the time I could pick up a crayon, I have been fascinated with combining color, type and image. I was later inspired to pursue graphic design professionally. In May 2009 I graduated with Liberal Arts Honors from Purdue University where I earned a BA in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Anthropology.

I am passionate about pixels, people and how the two interact. Leveraging technology to improve human interaction is most fascinating to me – exactly why I started focusing on web and mobile product design. I’m a team player with a strong sensibility for UI motion, practiced HTML & CSS skills, and an affinity for clean, user-centered solutions.

Whenever possible, I strive to bring positive change through sustainable and socially responsible design. When I’m not designing, I’m usually playing trumpet, sketching, cycling, walking my dog, listening to music or watching movies on Netflix. PDF Resume
